I Love Football

Especially when turnover mad riders stun the stamps - if it's not the Eskies, a girl can still go Green! Besides, it's NOT the Stamps - and I get to watch a fourth quarter thriller in the East - even if it was the Argos that pulled it out. Wouldn't it have been something to watch a Winnipeg-Saskatchewan Grey Cup. I would have loved it. Mmmm.....Grey Cup! I love being Canadian!

Wow! You're a Rider fan??? I'm so impressed. I knew I felt a connection, Stacey. We were meant to be friends!

I can't say that I'm a full fledged Riders fan but with my Eskies out of the playoffs for the first time in 34 years *ouch* I chose to cheer for the Riders. They're my "next" team for several reasons...they're green (only missing the gold but I can deal with that), they're not the stampeders, and they're typically the underdog.

Yes, we were meant to be friends...just might not be 'bout football. Hockey perhaps?

Now I'm not really sure where you stand or where our friendship might be.

I was thinking that we could be friends, but supporting the green team... that's just not winning any points over here in Blue and Bold town. There are so many reasons not to chose the banjo picking riders so I ask why? Only thing worse would be to start cheering for Montreal.

If you're truly going green for pitty's sake then I can give you that and support you, underdogs need friends too.

I'm afraid that BC is the only viable option after Calgary got the boot.

Sorry Sheryl, I got your back on lots of things, but not when it comes to football.

Okay, so for the record...I am an Edmonton fan through and through. It's the Eskies for me BUT on the rare occasion when they're not in the playoffs, I choose to continue my support of the guys in green...while it doesn't happen often, it's definitely the case this year. Besides...stampeders who?

Here's the ultimate question...Why cheer CFL when there is plenty of NFL to go around? Go Pats Go!

Alright I guess I can be friends with you still. Mostly cause you have made your loyalty to Edmonton clear and unequivocal. When in the playoffs we must all have back-up choices to fill in in case our team doesn't measure up.

Best of luck on Sunday and may the best team win. Then that one will be both our favorites for the Grey Cup and we can be united in loyalty again.
